Manchester Embassy Village wins a 2024 Resi Award
Our Manchester team was thrilled to receive recognition from our client Embassy, for providing valued surveying support at Embassy Village, Manchester. A project that has recently won a RESI 2024 BTR Social Impact Initiative Award. The Resi Awards, hosted by Property Week, celebrates the achievements of the residential property sector.
The Embassy Village project involved transforming historic Victorian railway arches to provide 40 secure homes, a community centre and 24/7 support to re-integrate vulnerable men back into society.
An underground utility survey was carried out on the site, which was a self-contained, derelict piece of land originally built 150 years ago. The survey used penetrating radar to identify where wires, cables and pipes were situated and their depth. A CCTV drainage survey was also commissioned to locate and track any sewage and water pipes. Finally, a laser scan produced a point cloud survey of the site, including the insides of some of the arches. Click here to learn more about this project>
“We’re delighted to have received the recognition from the Embassy Village team,” commented Robin Hynd, Survey Manager who headed the project in the Manchester Office at Survey Solutions. “One of our company core values is ‘We Care’ – not just about our staff and customers, but about our relationships with the wider communities in which we operate. It was a pleasure for us here at Survey Solutions to play our part in supporting Embassy tackle homelessness in Manchester.”
