Come for the Company – stay for the Career

When you are considering making a career move, it’s important to join a company that’s well-respected in its field, highly regarded by its clients and with the opportunity for progression.

Survey Solutions ticks all these boxes and more.

We’re one of the UK’s leading chartered survey companies, with a growing team of more than 100 professionals, a network of seven offices located from Scotland to Somerset and a client portfolio of blue-chip companies. Last year alone we completed 3,000 projects.

As a growing business, we welcome both experienced professionals seeking a new challenge, as well as those at the start of their career to join our team and benefit from being part of a company that is committed to investing in its people.

In return, we offer a dynamic working environment, competitive salary including annual bonus, company pension scheme, 23 days’ holiday, training and development programmes to meet your needs, company vehicle (depending on role), company work-wear, social events and team-building, with a monthly employee prize draw and cross-company competitions.

There are also opportunities for exceptional individuals with little or no surveying or construction industry experience to join us. We’ll get you up to speed with the sector by sending you on an intensive week-long course at the Survey School in Worcester.

Looking for a new challenge?

Are you a qualified surveyor, with several years’ experience in the industry and considering moving to a company where there will be more opportunities for progression? Maybe you want to specialise in a specific surveying discipline or want the chance to broaden your skillset and experience?

At Survey Solutions, we are keen to hear from surveyors who are highly-motivated, eager to progress and maximise their skills and training in a new environment.

Ever thought about a career in surveying?

If you are at the stage of considering different career options, take a moment to think about surveying.

It’s a career that brings lots of variety and no two days are ever the same. You will spend time out on site, as well as in the office, and the range of projects is extremely diverse.

One day, you might be carrying out a topographical survey for a new building, the next it could be monitoring at a major heritage centre. Our work is cross-sectoral too, including healthcare, education, retail, leisure and residential housing.

There’s every opportunity to advance your career – in fact most of our senior team have risen through the ranks from early beginnings in the industry. You also get the chance to specialise in specific areas of surveying if you wish and with our geographical reach, there’s flexibility over location too.

It’s not surprising that we enjoy excellent staff retention rates.

We welcome those looking to make a career in surveying to join us at different stages of academic achievement, with multiple entry points from school-leavers of 18 years of age through to graduate trainees.

Right away you’ll join one of our teams and be on-site quickly, supporting a senior surveyor. On-the-job training means you earn as you learn and you get the opportunity to progress as fast as you wish. We’ll support you as you work towards becoming a member of our qualified surveying team, with your own portfolio of projects, which could be in as little as two years, or even less.

That’s not all. As members of the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES), we have developed our own Approved Development Scheme which is accredited by the CICES. You will be actively encouraged and supported to complete this training scheme, which will develop your skills and competencies and enable you to achieve a formal accreditation.

So why not consider joining us?

After looking for something new, I joined Survey Solutions at the end of 2019. A career in surveying provides variety, with office work but also the number of sites that you visit – not one is the same. It is definitely an opportunity for anyone looking to progress as a surveyor, or to face a new challenge.
