Nuclear construction survey, working to your control network

Survey Solutions delivers survey inside a nuclear new build, working to the contractor’s control network and to the programme milestone. Nuclear new-build programmes run on control points, possessions and milestones set by the contractors delivering them, so the survey has to fit that structure instead of running as a separate exercise alongside it. We have delivered at Sizewell C for six separate organisations, we have been an NSAN member since 2023, and our team is security-cleared with ISO 27001 data handling.

Nuclear survey proven at Sizewell C

At Sizewell C we have delivered for six separate organisations, covering the MAR site, the campus and ACA control points, the concrete batching plant, and both Sizewell A and B. That is survey work carried out inside a live nuclear new build, delivered to the standards and the access rules the programme sets.

The contractor is the buyer, not the licensee

We are engaged by the contractors delivering the programme, so our work fits their setting-out and their possession instead of becoming a separate survey exercise. In practice that means working to the site agent’s, the setting-out engineer’s and the project manager’s programme inside a Tier 1 or specialist contractor, because they are the team actually running the job day to day.

Structural Monitoring

Survey is only the start, because we also monitor structures and assets across multi-year programmes, holding to the same data standards throughout.

Nuclear FAQ’s

Yes, at Sizewell C, for six separate contractor organisations, covering control points, the concrete batching plant and both Sizewell A and B.

The contractor buys it, which is why at Sizewell C we work to the site agent, the setting-out engineer and the project manager inside a Tier 1 or specialist contractor instead of to the licensee directly.
