Land and environment covers environmental compliance, rural land use and waterway infrastructure, and each of the three sectors inside it buys for a different reason. Agriculture buys around the season and the livestock, natural environment buys statutory compliance monitoring, most visibly under the Reservoirs Act for the Environment Agency, and coastal, rivers, canals and waterways buys hydrographic and structural survey, which is a different service delivered on some of the very same rivers.
