Over 20 Years Supporting Broadland Business Park Norwich

Broadland Business Park Norwich has long been recognised as one of the East of England’s premier commercial locations. Situated just east of the city, the 37-acre site offers high-specification office, industrial and logistics space, attracting a broad spectrum of occupiers—from growing local SMEs to major national and international businesses.

Survey Solutions has been embedded in the Park’s development journey since its inception. In 2000, we were first appointed to carry out a topographical survey of what was then undeveloped farmland. That foundational work laid the groundwork for the Park’s first infrastructure phase. Since then, we’ve maintained a consistent presence, returning repeatedly to survey each new phase of land released for development. Broadland Business Park Norwich remains one of our longest-standing client partnerships.

Comprehensive Surveying Through Every Stage

To date, we’ve completed over 30 detailed surveying instructions at Broadland, supporting its transformation into a thriving business destination. Our surveys have supported the design and construction of key assets such as the Porsche dealership, the Premier Inn hotel, landscaped public areas, pub, and the DVSA driving test centre.

Working closely with contractors, developers, and consultants, we ensure accuracy and consistency throughout the site’s evolution—from initial planning through to project completion. Our long-term involvement means we’re able to offer insights based on both historic and current site data.

As the Park has expanded, so too has our approach. The integration of GPS and georeferencing has allowed us to enhance survey accuracy and revisit some of the earliest datasets captured more than 20 years ago.

Today, Broadland is far more than a traditional business park. With lakeside trails, cafés, health clubs and hotels, it’s a destination in its own right—offering an appealing environment for employers and employees alike.

Even with more than one million square feet of commercial space already in place, the Park still has land available for new industrial and logistics units ranging from 10,000 to 100,000 sq ft. As development continues, Survey Solutions remains a trusted partner to the Park’s civil engineers and project teams, playing a vital role in its next phase of delivery.
