Our latest commission involved a detailed topographical survey in Catsfield, Battle, a key part of renewable energy development in Catsfield. The 27.5-acre site, part of a working farm, is the fifth in a series of projects we’ve delivered for Masdar Arlington Energy, providing the critical survey data needed to progress their plans from feasibility through to planning submission.

Masdar Arlington Energy’s planning team required a full topographical survey covering both the site and its proposed access route. This data underpins assessments from consultants across planning, infrastructure, drainage, and landscape design. Understanding the terrain at this stage helps to shape a scheme that’s technically feasible, environmentally responsible, and planning-compliant.
Working on live agricultural land brings added operational complexity. Our team carefully planned and delivered the survey to minimise disruption, maintain the integrity of the land, and ensure safety for livestock—while still meeting technical scope and timescales.
The site is now progressing through planning, backed by precise, reliable data that de-risks decision-making and helps drive investment confidence. This successful outcome is a vital part of ongoing renewable energy development in Catsfield, supporting a greener, more resilient energy future.
