Our ESG Credentials
Our ESG Credentials showcase a commitment to sustainability and corporate responsibility.
At Survey Solutions, our commitment to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles is not an add-on—it’s built into the way we operate, deliver value and plan for the future.
Our inaugural ESG Impact Report outlines how we’re reducing carbon emissions, creating opportunity for our people, and holding ourselves accountable to the highest operational standards. It’s a clear signal to our clients, partners and communities: we’re here to lead from the front.
ESG in Action: Our 3 Core Pillars
1. Environmental Stewardship
We’re on the path to Net Zero by 2045, and we’ve already taken key steps to reduce our carbon footprint across fleet, energy, and operations:
- A 16% emissions reduction targeted by 2025, with a 97% reduction planned by 2045
- 42 hybrid vehicles now in operation, targeting the 45.4% of emissions linked to travel
- Office energy use optimised, with a growing share of renewable sources in procurement
Whether it’s helping clients like Silverstone deploy solar at scale, or using UAVs to reduce site visits, we believe geospatial engineering has a critical role to play in tackling climate change.
2. Social Impact
Our teams power our business—and we invest accordingly:
- 34 employees completed CICES-accredited training last year
- 48 internal promotions in FY2024
- Mental Health First Aiders in every region, alongside structured wellbeing support
- Ongoing community outreach, from school events to grassroots sports sponsorship
We’re building careers, not just headcount. And we’re doing it in a way that reflects the communities we work in.
3. Governance and Accountability
Operational integrity underpins every service we offer. We maintain full accreditation across:
- ISO 9001: Quality Management
- ISO 14001: Environmental Management
- ISO 27001: Information Security
- ISO 45001: Occupational Health and Safety
We take compliance seriously—because our clients do too. From safety-critical infrastructure projects to national frameworks, our governance credentials give decision-makers confidence.

Case Study: Driving Real-World Impact
Supporting Silverstone’s Net Zero Journey
We partnered with Silverstone to help them achieve their goal of becoming Net Zero by 2030. Our team used advanced drone technology and laser scanning to map the racetrack and design the placement of over 1,300 solar panels. This project not only reduced Silverstone’s carbon footprint but also showcased how geospatial engineering can drive sustainability.
What’s Next for Our ESG Vision
- Expand renewable energy usage across our estate
- Deepen engagement through employee voice and development
- Strengthen community partnerships that align with our core services
- Share our ESG impact more regularly and transparently with all stakeholders
As the UK’s leading engineering survey business, we’re ready to set the standard on ESG.
