Survey Solutions has recently successfully completed a number of detailed floor level surveys across three vacant retail units within the Trafford Palazzo, part of Manchester’s Trafford City retail and leisure destination. Demonstrating engineering certainty at real speed, our expert team supported the client’s need to validate compliance with the SR2 retail standard, which is a requirement for accessible, fit-out ready commercial units.

Laser-Scanned Data for SR2 Compliance

Working within the tight parameters of vacant possession, the team deployed high-precision laser scanning technology to capture comprehensive internal measurements across all the units in question. From this, they delivered floor plans with level data at 2-metre intervals, all referenced back to the established finished level of the mall concourse. The work completed ensured total consistency with the wider retail footprint and gave the client full confidence in the unit’s readiness for occupation going forward.

The surveys were delivered very quickly and efficiently, with data captured and processed within a rapid turnaround period to support the ongoing urgent lease negotiations with prospective tenants.
