Fusion 21 named 120 suppliers to its Construction Consultancy Services Framework and around 85% are SMEs. The framework is worth up to £175 million and runs until September 2029. Why this framework matters

Fusion 21 focuses on results and social value. Reported outcomes on past frameworks include over £200 million in social impact and more than 13,550 employment outcomes. Members have also collectively saved £380 million on projects by using the Fusion 21 framework compared to running their own tenders. If you can link your delivery to local benefits, you will stand out.

Set yourself up for success

  • Map your lots – Look at which Fusion21 “lots” you’re on. Then list out which Fusion21 members (councils, housing associations, NHS trusts, etc.) actually use those lots in your patch. That gives you a shortlist of real buyers.
  • Build a ready pack – Have a folder ready with all the paperwork buyers will ask for. That means staff CVs, past project examples, insurance docs, risk assessments and method statements (RAMS), quality assurance certificates, and a short explanation of how you handle BIM. Saves you scrambling when a mini-competition drops.
  • Create scope and price templates for common tasks so you can respond fast.
  • Decide when to push for direct award and when a short competition suits you – You need to know which option plays to your strengths. Direct award is fast if you have a strong relationship. Competitions can be worth it if you’ve got a clear advantage.
  • Track live opportunities – Keep an eye on Fusion21 notices and chatter. When something opens, respond right away. The early movers usually get the first call-offs.
