RESTARTING SITE WORK

Survey Solutions will return to site work this week.

Following a full review of our systems of work and in line with government and industry advice, Survey Solutions is implementing a phased return to sites.

Covid-19 Update

On Monday 23rd March following the Prime Minister’s lockdown announcement we took the decision to immediately cease site work and implement a remote working programme. We were one of the first surveying companies to adopt this position as we felt, at that time, it was not possible to operate under the Government’s guidelines.

Over the last few weeks, we have been closely following government and industry guidance including that from the Construction Leadership Council and The Survey Association as well as stringently reviewing the company’s systems and making any changes we need to enable us to return to work.

Our new systems of work are now in place to ensure we minimise the amount of people and time on site and that we fully adhere to rules around social distancing. We will continue to operate a work from home policy for those that can. We will also assess every project enquiry against robust criteria before deciding whether to proceed.

With new systems implemented, we feel we can return to sites which are assessed and confirmed as being safe and therefore pleased to announce that we are now able to resume our operations through a phased return.

Last week, some senior members of our surveying team returned to work liaising with clients on enquiries we have recently received and to start assessing any new projects which can commence. They will also organise the completion of any sites that were left unfinished before we ceased site work – as long as it remains safe to do so.

From today, more members of our surveying and engineering teams will return to work and start on projects which we deem to be safe and in line with our new systems of work.

I want you to be aware that the top priority for the business remains the health and well being of our team, our clients and the community. We will of course continue to review all site practices especially with any changes made to government and medical guidance. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our clients and the team at Survey Solutions for their patience and understanding to the current situation.

I am looking forward to getting the business back to some site activities, through safe working practices, over the coming weeks.

COMPANY UPDATE – CORONAVIRUS – 24TH MARCH 2020

We have today taken the decision to immediately cease all site-based survey work as well as implement a full remote working programme across all of our regional offices.

For us, the Government guidance is clear. We must all stay at home to play our part in limiting the spread of the virus. We hope this is a view that continues to be shared across our communities and industry.

We appreciate the impact that this will have on our clients and especially the part completed projects which we have needed to suspend. We thank everyone for their understanding and show of support to us. Where we can complete projects at home we will do so.

A big thank you to the entire Survey Solutions team for their solidarity and commitment over the last few weeks. We are determined to get through this together.

Whilst our survey work must stop for a while, we will continue to use social media to post updates and try to continue some things as much as we can.

Finally, we wish everyone across our company, clients and communities all the very best during these challenging times.

COMPANY UPDATE – CORONAVIRUS/ COVID-19

We want you to be aware that we are taking the risk of Coronavirus extremely seriously and are vigilantly implementing enhanced protocols to minimise the threat and potential effects. Since the outbreak, we have been following government guidelines very closely, making daily operational changes as directed by authorities and working hard to ensure the safety and well being of our team, clients, suppliers and local communities.

With a large and flexible team based over multiple locations we believe that we are well placed to mitigate the impact of Coronavirus on our business and able to continue to support our clients with the high quality service they expect from Survey Solutions.

We are aware that this is a fast moving, and evolving situation, so please rest assured that we will continue monitoring any updates and will respond quickly to advice from the government, public health authorities or medical professionals.

HELPING MEASURE A GUINNESS WORLD RECORD

We work on projects of all shapes and sizes and back in November last year, we were delighted to be asked to support a local project, and one that came with a bit of a twist.

Local inventor Tony Fisher requested our services to help measure the world’s largest usable Rubik’s cube. This isn’t perhaps the sort of job you may expect us to get involved with but further demonstrates the range and versatility of services we can offer.

The cube measured 2.022m x 2.022m x 2.022m and took over 300 hours to build.

We are so pleased to have heard this week that Tony has now had this verified as a Guinness World Record. Congratulations from everyone at Survey Solutions!

SURVEY SOLUTIONS ENGAGEMENT DAY

We kicked off the New Year by holding our first ever company Engagement Day at Wyboston Lakes in Cambridgeshire.

Having enjoyed many years of success and growth it was a brilliant opportunity for all our teams from across the UK to come together and hear more about our exciting future plans.

Following a welcome from our CEO and founder James Cooper, Paul Singleton took us on a trip down memory lane recalling many of the major landmarks that the company has seen over the last 20 years.
