When did you join Survey Solutions?

The best thing about Surveying is…

Knowing our drawings are the basis that all professionals involved in the project will work with, so the quality and accuracy of our work is key.

My favourite ever survey and why…

It was nothing grand, but to be involved with the survey and site engineering of the Anderton boat lift restoration in Northwich was fascinating.  Also known as ‘The Cathedral of the Canals’ or the ‘Eiffel Tower of the Waterways’, it was built in 1875 to transport boats between the Trent and Mersey Canal to the River Weaver.  Originally designed and built with a hydraulic system, it was converted and fitted with electrical motors in the early 20th Century.  The £7m restoration back to a hydraulic operation took place in consultation with English Heritage and is now open with a two-storey visitor centre, exhibition building and the all-important coffee shop.

Describe Survey Solutions in three words…

Progressive, proactive and professional.

An interesting fact about me is…

I have completed over 300 skydives around the world, including six out of a hot air balloon and three 25,000ft, high altitude jumps over the Arizona desert.

Outside of work I enjoy…

Something as simple as a dog walk which might involve a pub somewhere along the way.
