What our people have to say…

Take a look at what some of our team have to say about working at Survey Solutions and how they have developed their careers.

Grade A Surveyor

“Surveying is a career I am so pleased to have found. I have met so many great people and had so much support from everyone since I joined at the end of 2012.

“I am a Land & Measured Building Surveyor working across East Anglia on a range of land and measured building surveys and I have been able to support the team by working on setting out projects and boundary surveys too.

“A career in surveying helps me balance being outdoors which I love (especially in the summer!) but I am also in the office processing data and finished drawings so get a good chance to work alongside the rest of the team. Every project is different, and you are always seeing new places. No site is ever the same and therefore my job is never boring.

“We have recently increased the number of offices we have as well. This helps the surveying team as it means we can work locally to home and it is rare to have long commutes to and from sites or needing to stay away which I see as real advantage.

“Having started as a Trainee Land Surveyor almost ten years ago and working through being a Junior Surveyor, Grade C Surveyor, Grade B Surveyor and recently having been promoted to Grade A Surveyor my aim is just to keep working hard and progressing as much as I can. There are always opportunities to progress at Survey Solutions and whilst a lot of my training has been in-house and through experience, I have also started my chartered accreditation with CICES. The company supports everyone to do this, and it is a real added benefit for my career and future.

“If you’re thinking of getting into surveying my advice would be to go for it”.
