What our people have to say…

Take a look at what some of our team have to say about working at Survey Solutions and how they have developed their careers.
Lauren Bailey

HR Officer

Head office

“My Survey Solutions story is slightly different as I joined on the first day of a national Covid lockdown! My role is a brand-new position created to support the growth of the company with a complete focus on HR.

“I have a BSc in Psychology and have achieved a Level 5 Diploma in Human Resource Management and am now an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD). I began this in 2019 and Survey Solutions has continued to support my professional development.

“Every day is different which I love and makes the role very exciting.  We always have a big focus on recruitment and talent planning, and I am responsible for all recruitment and onboarding across our nine UK offices. This includes organising work experience placements and partnering with local colleges and universities. I work closely with the Marketing team to deliver internal communication programmes and employee engagement initiatives.

“My advice would be to contact us for some work experience or an internship to see if surveying is a career option for you. We recently had a graduate join us who completed an internship. It was a great way for them to put their best foot forward and they got to know what it would be like working with us, so their passion really came across in the interview process.

“I’d also recommend making use of all the resources available to you. We have the Survey Solutions Academy, a comprehensive training plan and, you will benefit from learning from many experienced Surveyors.

“What I love most is working with different people across the business and the variety that brings. One day I have a meeting with the CEO and the next day I can be providing some HR advice.  I also love interviewing people and get great job satisfaction from helping someone find their dream role.

“Working at Survey Solutions makes you feel valued for the work do. Last month I received a hamper of chocolates to say thank you and I’ve received messages from Senior Managers and Directors on my contribution which really gives a boost and improves your confidence.
