Of course, that does not only include keeping on top of the latest technologies and trends, but putting in place what it takes to deliver every project – professionally, seamlessly and on time and budget. This is particularly important when it comes to major projects that are large scale and/or complex. Take for example, the projects we’ve completed at remote airports in the Scottish Isles where logistical and operational challenges needed to be overcome with effective communication, planning and project management, or the nationwide programme of drone surveys completed during the pandemic for Parkdean – the UK’s largest holiday park operator. Other examples of major projects that we’ve completed recently include the installation of the survey control network and asset condition surveys for the £1bn Silvertown Tunnel project, the first major road crossing across the Thames since the opening of the QE2 Dartford Bridge, and the package of survey works at Silverstone where we delivered a suite of services as part of their drive to net zero by 2030.

Local support capitalising on national skills and resources

Since our inception in 1997 we have has grown from a strong regional business to be one of the UK’s largest engineering surveyors. But don’t think for a minute that working with a national surveying company means your project will be handled at a national level. With regional offices across the country from Glasgow down to London and across to Yeovil, we’re a national company with a very local focus and you’ll be working in the safe and experienced hands of your local regional team.

We have specialist teams in each regional office, but when large scale projects and demand requires it, we can capitalise on the resources available to us across the country, to deploy the necessary skills and teams to meet a specific project’s workload or timescales. Our clients value the fact we can ramp up resources as when they are needed to get a job completed.

Capitalise on breadth and depth of experience

We work on approximately 4,000 projects per year. It’s precisely why we’ve had to grow our business and our regional base. The good news for you, is that we can boast a depth and breadth of experience in all things surveying that no other UK company can come close to.

There’s no project too niche, too large or too complicated. If we haven’t done it before, we’ll have worked on something very similar and we can add value to your project by tapping into that knowledge and experience. We also know what questions to ask to ensure your project is completed in the shortest possible timescales – that means always making sure we have all the information we need about a site before we start a project to ensure there are no surprises or delays.

Single point of contact

We understand that when it comes to any kind of major building project there will be multiple companies, contacts and contracts involved – over what can be very lengthy timescales. We don’t want to add to the complexity or burden of your project so we make every endeavour to ensure that working with us as simple and seamless, and hopefully as enjoyable as possible.

That includes providing you with just one point of contact throughout our involvement in your project. We may have multiple people and specialists on your site over extended periods, but we’ll always appoint a senior member of our survey team as your main point of contact for coordination and communication. It helps build confidence and rapport, and it makes life a lot simpler for you.

Seamless communication

Communication is always key, but when it comes to large scale and/or complex projects we recognise how critical it is to ensure that everyone from our side and yours has visibility of progress, issues and resolutions, as well as access to the relevant data, files and documentation.

Of course, every project is different and needs to be managed in a different way, and we can be incredibly versatile and flexible in our approach. But one thing you can be confident in, is the quality of our communication – whether that’s regular on-site team meetings or daily online diaries to ensure our team and yours can check-in on progress at any time. Our robust communication and documentation standards and procedures ensure that issues are escalated or resolved as quickly as possible, everyone is always up-to-speed, and projects are managed faultlessly and completed in the earliest possible timescales.

From conception to completion

We’re nothing if not thorough. On completion of a major project our work is double checked by two of our other offices by way of a final quality assurance check. We are also more than happy to meet with you in person to go through the data and information we’ve provided to make sure you’ve got everything you need and that you understand how to get maximum value from it.
